News.FUT Birthday 9 Ultimate Squad details Revealed
EA Sports has announced that FUT Birthday, which is celebrating nine years of FIFA Ultimate Team.Get ready for new squad building challenges, new icons, and a brand-new FUT Birthday squad.
A tradition for some years now, EA normally go all-out to give gamers a suitable dose of nostalgia by boosting great players in the mode from years gone by. This year is no different. The FIFA 18 Birthday Squad consists of players who did the business in their old positions and have since changed tack on the soccer field.
EA says there will be weekly objectives that 'reward special Irish player items with upgraded ratings that can be used to complete certain FUT Birthday SBCs.
FIFA FUT 18 Birthday Squad
The FUT Birthday Squad is made up of players that have been dominant in previous years of FIFA Ultimate Team. As with all special player cards, these FUT Birthday Squad players will be available as cards in packs. The special Birthday Squad cards will start appearing today, March 16, and come out of packs on March 25.
The Birthday event also features new squad building challenges, as well as Prime Icons.
You’ll discover all kinds of Squad Building Challenges (SBCs) available during FUT Birthday, including the next End of an Era SBC celebrating a top player that retired from professional football in the past year

FIFA 17 also introduced brand new SBC Premium Items for the first time in FUT.
"Three FUT favourites get an extra special Premium SBC version! Released as individual SBCs and available for the duration of the event, these unique items will be upgraded even more than their FUT Birthday Squad version."
These included:
1.A 91 ST Rated Fernando Torres - reminiscent of his FUT 10 item
2.A 88 CAM Rated Stephan El Shaarawy - reminiscent of his FUT 12 item
3.A 90 CDM Rated David Luiz - reminiscent of his FUT 13 item
Elsewhere, St. Patrick’s Day – often a big trading occasion for the FUT masses – has been merged into the birthday celebrations. It’s still happening.
